Silver Spring, Md. -- Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and President Barack Obama hosted their Gun Control Gala, in which members of Senator Elizabeth Warren’s campaign staff and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took the opportunity to reiterate that Mayor Pete Buttigieg will not be attending the Democratic Summit, and to announce that he will officially no longer be considered a member of the Democratic Party.

This was due to his false claims that he had been assaulted by the Democratic Party, and that he was afraid for his life. “There have been recent allegations that the Warren campaign and members of the Democratic Party have assaulted Mayor Buttigieg and we want to deny these claims,” said Nick Layke, a member of Warren’s campaign team.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was quick to make a clarification. “As some of you know, we are having a Democratic sit-down today to discuss the future of the party and the Warren presidency, and we would like to announce that Pete Buttigieg is no longer welcome at the sit-down because he does not uphold the ideals of the Democratic Party,” she said.

Pelosi later went into further detail of how Buttigieg was not respecting these ideals. “The Democratic Party is founded upon the ideals of transparency and honesty with the people and the media, and he does not uphold those ideals.”

These remarks were made in response to an incident that took place in the Padmore Post’s newsroom. Buttigieg claimed that he had been blackmailed by the Warren campaign to drop his bid for the presidency and join their campaign, and that when he didn’t say exactly what they wanted him to say, he became afraid for his life. There have been rumors that he was hiding from members of the Warren staff in the Padmore Post’s newsroom. There was also a rumor that Buttigieg was shot; however, he has debunked this claim. “There was no gunshot,” he said.

Despite the shocking events that took place at the Gala, the rest of it was much more lowkey. Mark Zuckerberg and Barack Obama formally announced their endorsements for Warren, after making some touching remarks about the need for gun control in the United States. President Obama reflected on the “saddest day of his life,” the day of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in December 2012.

Zuckerberg and Obama explained that although their beliefs do not align perfectly with Warren’s policy platform, they recognize the need to choose the best of the candidates, and they feel that Warren will make the best candidate.
