Pete Buttigeg, Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and ex-candidate for President of the United States has fabricated a story that Senator Warren’s campaign orchestrated an attack of physical violence against him.

Part of his claim, as he was lying on the floor rambling and pretending to be shot, was that Former President Barack Obama and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg were in his home when the attack happened, but both deny the claims.

“Pete Buttigeg’s story about being assaulted is fabricated,” Zuckerberg said in an exclusive statement to the Daily Direction, while President Obama nodded in agreement.

Before a daily press confrence, which Buttigeg was seen leaving, congressional Democrats presented a joint force, all denying Buttigeg’s claims, led by Representative Ocasio-Cortez of New York’s 14th District.

Maxine Waters, representative from California’s 43rd District and part of the Democrats that spoke out, said “Senator Buttigeg has disgarced the Democratic party by creating stories to tear his own party down and bring attention to his failure to become President.”

Warren’s Communications Director, Jacob Warren, added that the Warren campaign will pursue legal action in court on the ground of defamation and libel during at the press conference.

Buttigeg made a statement after saying, “I am happy to announce I am recovering from my injury. I was attacked by members of Warren's campaign after I did not follow their explicit directions and I’m looking forward to telling you all the truth on the stand tomorrow.”

The topic was an important one during a meeting between Senator Warren and her campaign team, other congressional Democrats, and the Mexican President, Enrique Peña Nieto.

Some point out that this may to point to dissent within the Democratic party, however the united front that was shown before the press conference points otherwise.
