Macron: “How will you address the problem with ISIS/terrorism?”
Warren: “I Believe that we need to make an effort to stop wars. Once we intervene, we should stick with it.”
Macron: “Yes, I was very opposed when Trump withdrew troops from Syria.”
Warren: “I want to work with other world leaders to see what we can do best to defend human rights. I want to renter UN commission, which we drew out of last summer.”
Warren: “I also believe in working together and negotiating with each other. Lots of allies are socially liberal which is an advantage for foreign policy.
Warren: “I’m very opposed to coming out of the Paris climate accord. We need to address climate change before it’s too late. I don’t accept money from oil companies. We need to start fewer wars. I want more policies that favor renewable and green energy."
Macron: “What sort of changes will the regular American do to combat climate change?”
Warren: “We already have some plans to start reducing the amount of plastics and waste we put out. Reducing carbon emissions, etc.”
Warren mentioned some very progressive ideals, and after Buttigieg dropped out this morning, her chances of being elected are growing rapidly. The Republican candidates are looking to split the vote, as neither Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham/Ted Cruz show any sign of backing down.
Both of the Republican candidates have taken very moderate stances on economics and environment. Graham and Cruz have also taken a semi-moderate stance on abortion in their press conference earlier this morning.
It will be interesting to see how this election plays out, Elizabeth Warren is gaining a slight edge as events take place. The debates tomorrow could Drastically flip the election, or boost Elizabeth Warren on the road to victory.
